“During the hearing of a public interest litigation, the Supreme Court expressed displeasure with the petitioner’s lawyer and imposed a fine of one lakh rupees. The bench chaired by Justice B.R. Gavai dismissed the petition, stating that it was an abuse of the legal process as none of the petitioner’s fundamental rights had been violated.”
