Bank of Baroda has recently released a study report titled State of Election States regarding the socio-economic condition of the five electoral states. The report helps in assessing how the conditions of these states are in terms of parameters like Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP), per capita income, inflation rate, health, education and poverty etc. While the north-eastern state Mizoram is far ahead on most points of economic indices, the northern states Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh have a long way to go.
