In the tehsil area, the tehsil administration has marked the encroachments of land grabbers on five acres of private and government land in relation to an illegal occupation case. A detailed report on the matter is being sent to the district administration. The case of illegal encroachment is related to a five-acre plot with Khasra number 760 in the Rishikesh tehsil area. Several individuals, including Harvinder Kaur, had encroached upon the sealed non-agricultural land here. An unidentified person had lodged a complaint with the Anti-Corruption Unit (ACU) regarding the matter. The ACU had instructed the tehsil administration in Rishikesh to take action, leading to an investigation under the leadership of the tehsildar. The investigation found the complaint to be valid.
