President Putin revealed that, with the war effort in mind, approximately 1,500 individuals are being recruited into the military every day. As of Wednesday evening, a total of 486,000 soldiers have signed contracts with the Russian army. Putin, who has been in power for nearly 24 years, recently announced his intention to run for re-election.
