Prayagraj, Aug 5 – The difficulties for PCS Officer Jyoti Maurya and her husband Alok seem to be increasing. They are both entangled in an alleged illegal transaction of Rs 33 crore, and now a special team will question Alok along with Jyoti. Jyoti Maurya’s statement will be recorded in the presence of a female magistrate and will be video-graphed. In addition, an investigation committee will look into the well-being of PCS Officer Jyoti Maurya’s daughters.

Alok Maurya, currently stationed in Pratapgarh, received a notice based on his complaint. The appointment department has assigned Mandalayukt Vijay Vishwas Pant to lead the inquiry committee, comprising ADM Administration Harshdev Pandey and ACJM Pratham Jayjeet Kaur.

Alok attached a 32-page photo state of a diary along with his complaint letter, mentioning an alleged illegal transaction of around Rs 33 crore. Alok alleges that this transaction is from undisclosed income, which the committee is investigating by examining six bank accounts.

The committee has summoned Alok and Jyoti to record their statements in Prayagraj. The notice also requires them to present evidence in support of their claims and allegations. Both have been called on the same day. Alok is expected to present evidence in relation to the allegations, while Jyoti is expected to defend her side. Their statements will be recorded under CCTV surveillance. Additionally, the committee will inquire about the behavior of Jyoti’s twin daughters’ parents.
