Record gains continue in the stock market. After Monday’s strength, the markets closed with a big jump on Tuesday also. On the second trading day of the week, the Sensex closed at 69,296.14 for the first time with a gain of 431.02 (0.62%) points. On the other hand, Nifty gained 168.30 (0.81%) points to close at a new record high of 20,855.10. Banking sector shares gained strength in the market on Tuesday. Earlier, after the assembly election results of five states on Sunday and Monday, BSE Sensex jumped 1383 points to close at 68,865 on the first trading day of the week.
