Sensex Closing Bell: The stock market faced its second consecutive day of decline as the Sensex weakened by 286 points, with Nifty hovering around 19,450.

Amid concerns of rising U.S. Treasury yields reaching a 16-year high and negative global cues, the Indian stock market closed lower for the second consecutive day on Wednesday. Global stock markets are being impacted by worries of elevated interest rates in the long term. Meanwhile, the market capitalization of all listed companies on the BSE fell by INR 2.49 trillion to INR 316.72 trillion.
