New Delhi: Shafiqur Rahman Barq, Member of Parliament from the Sambhal constituency of Uttar Pradesh, passed away at the age of 93. Barq had been ill for a long time. He was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Moradabad. Barq often remained in the spotlight due to his controversial statements. Shafiqur Rahman had said that when girls begin to grow up, it is necessary to control them. Wearing a hijab keeps girls disciplined.
