Special DGP Prashant Kumar, in light of the National Festival, orchestrated a series of programs. Following government directives, instructions were issued to all districts from Police Headquarters. Flag hoisting ceremonies were scheduled across all districts. Our officials will raise the flag. During this time, stringent security measures have been put in place, organized in both Lucknow and districts. Vigilant checking campaigns are being conducted at hotels, restaurants, railway stations, and bus stops. Our ATS commandos are deployed at select locations. Where flag processions are planned, meticulous arrangements are in progress to ensure no antisocial elements disrupt the event. Deployed are 238 PSIs, SDRF, and CAPF personnel.
The upcoming by-election in the state has seen preparations underway. With a focus on impartiality, all arrangements are being made. The election is set for September 5th, with counting on the 8th. There are 455 polling stations, supervised by observers appointed by the Election Commission of India. Strict adherence to the Election Commission’s directives is ensured.
