
Lucknow: Suspecting infidelity, a man allegedly threw a woman from the third floor of a house in the Goa Garden area of the city.
The incident which had taken place on July 7, came to light on July 11, after the police arrested the accused and sent him to jail following registration of an FIR on the complaint of the woman’s father.
Ram Babu, a resident of Shivrajpur’s Musta village, told the police that he had married his daughter Manju to one Bhalli, a resident of Sughar Deva, Shivrajpur, about ten years ago.
They have a seven years old son Ansh, he said and added, “After a dispute with her husband, Manju came to live with them.”
According to the family members, Manju developed an affair with one Anand, a resident of Goa Garden.
“Manju went to live at Anand’s place on June 26 along with her son. On July 7, while Manju was talking to someone on the phone, Anand, suspecting infidelity, threw her from the third floor of the house. He even made an attempt to throw her son Ansh but he fled from the spot,” they said.
After registering a case against accused Anand on the complaint of the victim’s father, the police arrested him and sent him to jail on Tuesday.
The doctors stated Manju’s condition to be critical.
