T20: Yuvraj Singh’s world record broken, Nepali cricketer hits half-century in 9 balls

He broke the previous world record jointly held by David Miller and Rohit Sharma who scored a century in 35 balls. Batting at number three, Kushal played an unbeaten inning of 137 runs with 12 sixes and 8 fours, due to which Nepal, batting first, scored 314 runs for 3 wickets, which is the highest score in T20 international cricket.

Nepal’s number 5 batsman Deependra Singh Airi broke Yuvraj Singh’s 16-year-old record by scoring a half-century in just 9 balls. Yuvraj scored a half-century in 12 balls while playing an inning of 58 runs in the World T20 match against England on 19 September 2007.
