On Saturday, in Sonitpur district of Assam, three people, including two forest guards, were killed and another person was injured in an attack by a wild elephant. Nipen Kalita, the West Tezpur divisional forest officer, said that when forest workers were patrolling the area, a wild elephant strayed from the nearby Dekiajuli forest and entered Majuli Gaon slowly.
