The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed a closure report regarding the investigation into alleged irregularities in the awarding of aircraft leases by the company formed through the merger of Air India and Indian Airlines during the tenure of the UPA government (Manmohan Singh government). The company, NACIL, allegedly leased aircraft to certain entities. However, no evidence of wrongdoing has been found by the CBI in this matter.
