The Indian High Commission reported the matter to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office and the Metropolitan Police in the UK. The disruption occurred during a planned interaction organized by the Gurudwara Committee, which included senior community leaders, ladies, Committee members, and a member of the Scottish Parliament. The High Commissioner and Consul General of India decided to leave the premises to prevent potential altercations due to threats and abuse from the disruptors.
During the incident at Glasgow Gurdwara Guru Granth Sahib, members of Sikh Youths UK approached the High Commissioner’s car and asked him to leave. Local police were called to the disturbance, and their inquiries are ongoing. Khalistan supporters present at the scene expressed their stance in videos shared on social media.
