The Ministry of Civil Aviation has confirmed that the Directorate General of Civil Aviation

DGCA) continues to meet the estimated timelines for the issuance of pilot licenses, even though there has been a rise in the number of applications.

The Ministry explained that the processing duration of applications may differ based on the complexity and completeness of the submitted application. The indicative timelines for the issuance and conversion of Commercial Pilot Licenses (CPL) as published by DGCA are 20 and 30 working days, respectively.

The ministry further reported that DGCA has consistently adhered to these indicative timelines, with an average processing time of 22 working days for CPL issuance and 31 working days for conversion during 2023.
