Immigration Minister Mark Miller, in an interview, expressed his belief that the number of study permits for Indian students in Canada is unlikely to increase soon. This statement follows political tension in June when Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s remarks suggested potential involvement of Indian agents in the murder of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar in British Columbia.
