The Tea Board India has communicated with registered auction organizers, producers’ associations, and buyers’ associations nationwide, announcing its decision to return to the traditional English auction system, along with the specified timelines.

In a letter issued on Monday, it was stated that the previous English auction system practices will be reintroduced as part of the Bharat auction model.

Previously, the Bharat auction system had been implemented in North India in April 2023, while it had already been in operation in South India.
