
The Supreme Court on Monday rejected the pleas of former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia seeking regular bail in corruption and money laundering cases related to the alleged Delhi Excise Policy scam. Justice Sanjeev Khanna and Justice S. V.N. Bhatti’s bench said it has recorded the statement of the investigating agencies that the trial in these cases will be completed in six to eight months. The bench said that if the trial proceedings are delayed, Sisodia can apply for bail in these cases within three months. The apex court delivered its verdict on two separate regular bail pleas of Sisodia filed in corruption and money laundering cases related to the now defunct Delhi Excise Policy.
