TMC’s Nusrat Jahan Appears Before Enforcement Directorate in Apartment Sale Scandal

Trinamool Congress (TMC) Member of Parliament, Nusrat Jahan, responded to the summons issued by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) regarding her alleged involvement in a fraudulent apartment sale scheme. She appeared at the ED’s office in Kolkata on Tuesday.

The ED initiated a case against Nusrat Jahan, a renowned Bengali actor and TMC MP, based on a complaint filed by a group of senior citizens. The complaint accused a real estate company of deceiving them by promising apartments in the New Town area of Kolkata, as reported by PTI.

Jahan, who is a former director of the company in question according to the complaint, has faced allegations from Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Shankudeb Panda as well. Panda alleged that she swindled individuals of Rs 5.5 lakh by promising to sell them apartments.

This development adds to the ongoing investigations related to the case.
