TVS is set to launch the all-new Apache RTR 310 today, a stripped-down iteration of the fully-faired Apache RR 310. In recent times, test mules of the RTR 310 have been spotted on multiple occasions. Before its official unveiling, let’s delve into some key details about this upcoming street naked bike and what we can expect from it.
TVS Apache RTR 310: Expected Design
Based on recent teasers and spy shots circulating on social media, it’s evident that the Apache RTR 310 departs significantly from its fully-faired counterpart. Its design is notably distinct from other RTR models in the naked streetfighter lineup. Notable visual cues from teasers include a split-style angular headlamp, sharp tank shrouds, an exposed rear subframe, split seats, and a substantial side-slung exhaust. At the rear, there’s a raised tail section with split grab rails and a tire hugger featuring integrated turn indicators. The overall design exudes a sporty vibe with an aggressive forward-leaning riding posture.
TVS Apache RTR 310: Expected Features and Hardware
As a flagship model, the TVS Apache RTR 310 is likely to come equipped with a host of advanced features. Expect a fully digital instrument console with a TFT display, smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth, all-LED lighting, built-in navigation, USB charging, and more.
In terms of hardware, the RTR 310 is expected to offer premium components, including upside-down front forks, a rear mono-shock, disc brakes at both ends with dual-channel ABS, adjustable brake and clutch levers, and 17-inch alloy wheels at the front and rear.
TVS Apache RTR 310: Engine Specifications
Powering the Apache RTR 310 will be a familiar 312cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, which also finds its place in the Apache RR 310 and BMW’s G 310 series (G 310 R, G 310 GS, and G 310 RR). This engine produces 33.5 bhp and 27.3 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
TVS Apache RTR 310: Expected Price
TVS is likely to position the Apache RTR 310 in the upper segment of its lineup, just below the Apache RR 310. It is anticipated to be priced around Rs 2.50-2.60 lakh (ex-showroom), positioning it competitively, with an expected price advantage of Rs 10,000-15,000 compared to its fully-faired sibling, the RR 310.
