America: US President Joe Biden has honored two Indian-American scientists – Ashok Gadgil and Subra Suresh – with the country’s highest scientific award for their contributions to the field of science and technology.Gadgil, professor emeritus of civil and environmental engineering at UC Berkeley, was on Tuesday awarded the prestigious White House National Medal for Technology and Innovation for providing the world with life-sustaining resources.Suresh, a professor in the School of Engineering at Brown University, was awarded the National Medal of Science for his research into engineering, materials science and life sciences at large, and particularly for advancing the study of materials science and its application to other disciplines
