Lucknow: Two kanwariyas died on Monday after a loudspeaker installed on a DJ platform of their tractor trolley came in contact with a high-tension wire in Deoria.
The victims were identified as Amit Gupta (18) and Deepak Rajbhar (19). “The kanwariyas had installed a DJ with loudspeakers on the tractor trolley. When they reached Kaparvarpur village, one of the loudspeakers came in contact with a high tension wire and the two got electrocuted,” said Deoria SP Sankalp Sharma. The duo were taken to a health centre where doctors declared them brought dead, he said.
Police said Deepak studied in class 12 while Aman was the only son of his parents.
