The Uttar Pradesh government, taking into consideration the welfare of livestock keepers, had launched the Indigenous Cow Conservation Scheme, and its benefits will now be available in 18 districts. Under this scheme, livestock keepers can receive subsidies of up to 80,000 rupees on the purchase of cattle. This scheme could prove to be a boon for livestock keepers.”
