The government has allocated a provision of ₹34,858 crores in the budget for the Department of Public Works. Out of this, ₹23,437.58 crores will be spent on laying new roads and constructing bridges in Uttar Pradesh. To provide relief from traffic congestion, ₹1,000 crores have been allocated for the construction of new flyovers. Additionally, ₹350 crores have been earmarked for bypass ring roads in cities.
