New York Mayor Eric Adams has appointed Indian-American Meera Joshi to the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) board. Joshi serves as the Deputy Mayor (Operations). In an official statement, Adams has indicated his commitment to providing New Yorkers with safe, reliable, and convenient public transportation by nominating both officials who have long been supporters of public transportation.
