US-UK and Australia jump into Nijjar controversy, support Trudeau

The ongoing diplomatic dispute between India and Canada over the murder of pro-Khalistan terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar has now taken a different turn in which criticism from western countries may shock India. Now America, Australia and Britain have also jumped into the ongoing diplomatic dispute over the Nijjar murder.The three countries on Friday urged New Delhi not to push Canada to reduce its diplomatic presence in India and expressed concern over the expulsion of 41 diplomats. In fact, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is facing pressure from India’s decision to revoke the ‘immunity’ (diplomatic immunity) of 41 Canadian diplomats. He said against this decision on Friday that it is a violation of the Vienna Convention.

It is an Anglosphere arrangement with the highest level of cooperation, mutual trust and coordinated action in which the concern of one of its members usually becomes the concern of all five and they respond in unison. The same is happening in the case of Canada and this reaction of the five countries has come to light which can be a matter of concern for India.
