UP Cabinet Decision: Under the Chief Minister Urban Creation Scheme, 346 local bodies were identified. Among these, 179 were excluded from the categories of redevelopment, expansion, and upgradation. Consequently, their electrification projects were stalled. The government has now allocated funds to rectify and develop the electrical supply infrastructure in these 179 urban local bodies, aiming to improve and modernize their electricity distribution systems.
