The Uttar Pradesh Government, led by Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Keshav Prasad Maurya, had allocated Rs. 12,86,56,416 (12.87 crore) for relocating obstructive electricity infrastructure in road projects across districts, as part of Phase 3 of the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana. The initiative covered areas like Amethi, Azamgarh, Deoria, Farrukhabad, Gorakhpur, Lakhimpur-Kheri, Prayagraj, Sitapur, and Unnao, utilizing the E0 D0 R0 technique. The Department of Rural Development, UP, had issued an order to ensure adherence to guidelines and cost-effectiveness.
