Dehradun. Amidst the ongoing devastation and natural calamity in Uttarakhand, there is a news of relief from the rain. The Meteorological Department says that the effect of Western Disturbance hitting the monsoon system has weakened, so the Red Alert has also been converted into Orange Alert. In view of the situation that was seen in Himachal after the Western Disturbance collided with the monsoon system, a red alert was also declared in Uttarakhand.

With the entry of Western Disturbance on July 11, its effect was seen in many districts of the state. On July 12, an estimate of heavy to very heavy rain was issued in Kumaon, but now its effect has weakened, due to which the red alert has been changed to orange alert.
Director of Meteorological Center Vikram Singh told that there will be relief in the state on 13 and 14 July. Light, moderate rains may occur at some places but, on July 15 and 16, heavy to very heavy rains may again be seen in many parts of Garhwal-Kumaon.

However, in these 12 days of July, Uttarakhand has recorded 60 percent more rain than the normal monsoon, but how it has increased the problems of the people, it can be gauged from the fact that more than three and a half hundred Hundreds of villages have been isolated due to damaged roads.
