Voting for Phase 1 of the Lok Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh commenced at 7 AM this morning. Polling will continue until 6 PM. This phase includes eight constituencies: Saharanpur, Kairana, Muzaffarnagar, Bijnor, Rampur, Nagina (Amroha), Moradabad, and Pilibhit. In the previous Lok Sabha elections, out of these eight seats, BJP won four, BSP three, and SP one. This time, the fate of many stalwarts is being tested. The decision on the fate of the candidates will be sealed in the EVMs, after which everyone will await the counting on June 4th.
