In West Medinipur, Jhargram, Bankura, Purulia, Nadia, Birbhum, and West Bardhaman districts, rain accompanied by strong winds and storms was also reported. There are reports of collapsed mud houses, uprooted trees, and snapped power lines in some areas due to the rain.
