West Bengal: Security along the India-Bangladesh international border is being affected, with more than half of the BSF companies deployed on election duty.

In Kolkata, a senior official at the Eastern Command Headquarters of the BSF expressed concern, stating that under the direction of the central government, 60 to 65 percent of their companies are currently on election duty. They were deployed nearly two and a half months ago. All these companies will return only after the elections are over.
