The Delhi High Court on Monday asked the Central Government to clarify on keeping single and unmarried women out of the scope of benefits of ‘surrogacy’ process under the law.
The court said that under the Surrogacy (Regulation) Act-2021, ‘intending woman’ means an Indian woman who is ‘widow or divorced’.
