Lucknow: A woman and her two minor daughters succumbed to burn injuries, while four other members of the family were injured when a gas cylinder caught fire, in Jalaun district late Friday night. The incident was reported from Kansiram colony under Orai Kotwali. A junk dealer had an old CNG gas cylinder to his home and was trying to extract scrap from it when the residue of gas inside the cylinder leaked and caught fire from the kitchen where his wife was cooking. The sudden burst of flames inside the room left seven persons injured severely.
Additional SP Jalaun, Aseem Chaudhary said all the injured family members were taken to the Orai Medical College where three succumbed to injuries on Saturday during treatment.The deceased were identified as Shakuntala, 50, mother of the scrap dealer and his two daughters, Aarohi, 2 and Payal, 4.
