5 people died due to lightning in Kushinagar
Five people died due to lightning at different places in Kushinagar district of Uttar Pradesh. Subhavati Devi, 50, Hasibun Nisha, 48, and Manju Devi, 50, who had gone to the fields in Pachpheda village of Nebua Naurangiya police station area of Kushinagar, died due to lightning. Whereas in Vishunpura village of Kaptanganj, a 5-year-old child playing on the terrace was struck by lightning and died. Apart from this, lightning fell on two persons who were returning home, in which one person died on the spot and the other got injured. District Magistrate Umesh Mishra said that an assistance amount of Rs 4 lakh each is being given to the families of the deceased. The injured are being treated there.
