A day after India’s top wrestlers once again sat down in protest against the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) and its president Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, the Sports Ministry declared the proposed May 7 elections of the WFI null and void. In effect, the WFI ceases to exist for now.
