An important meeting of opposition parties is being held in Bengaluru today. In which leaders of 26 opposition parties are participating. Earlier on Monday, most of the opposition leaders had reached Bengaluru. Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah hosted a banquet for leaders of opposition parties on Monday evening. Sharad Pawar did not attend the banquet but he attended today’s meeting.

The new name of the opposition alliance could be India. Actually its speculations are being made from the tweets of the opposition leaders. Congress leader Manik Tagore tweeted that India will win. Whereas TMC leader Derek O’Brien wrote in the tweet ‘Chak de India’.

Kharge said that we believe that we have some differences at the state level but these differences are not ideological. These differences are not so big that we cannot forget them and move forward for the sake of the common man, the poor, the youth and the middle class. We have 26 parties together and we have governments in 11 states. BJP alone cannot get 303 seats. It comes to power using the votes of its allies and later discards them. Today the BJP President and his leaders are busy gathering their old comrades by visiting different states.
During the meeting, Mallikarjun Kharge said that ‘I had also said in Chennai that the Congress is not interested in power nor the post of Prime Minister. This meeting is to save our constitution, democracy, tolerance and social justice. Kharge said that every institution is being used as a weapon against the opposition. CBI, ED and Income Tax Department are being used. False criminal cases are being filed against our leaders so that they are trapped in the legal process. Constitutional authority is being used to sack our MPs. MLAs are being blackmailed or they are being bribed so that governments can be toppled.
A formal meeting of top leaders of several opposition parties began here on Tuesday to discuss the outline and common program of the alliance to be formed against the Bharatiya Janata Party for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
