For the first time in the country, a multi-storey cemetery has been constructed by the Catholic Christian Society of Indore, which is located in the Kanchan Bagh area of Indore. The specialty of this unique cemetery is that it has 64 graves 15 feet deep, 4.5 feet wide and 6.5 feet long, in which a total of 5 layers have been made. An empty space is left at the bottom and after that 4 dead bodies can be buried together in it.
In fact, in Indore, the space to bury the dead body in the cemetery is continuously falling short. In view of this, a unique initiative has been taken in the Catholic Christian society of Indore. While 64 concrete graves have been made in the Christian cemetery located in Kanchan Bagh, Indore, which is 6 feet long with 15 feet deep and 4 feet wide, Father Bishop Chacko of the Red Church told that our thinking was that the population of the city is increasing continuously and limited cemeteries are available to the Christian society and when someone dies in the society, the process of burial is carried out, so that in the future such a situation does not arise that the burial space in the city will run out. That’s why all the enlightened people of the society thought together and came up with the idea of making a multi-level cemetery and the available space can be used properly and brought back to use.
