Gang of thugs in Lucknow:on the pretext of Tantramantra, remove jewelry from women the accused said

The accused, who hail from Uttarakhand, told that a member of every family in their village commits such robbery. The case was disclosed by the crime team of Ghazipur and DCP North.
Police arrested a group who looted jewelery of women in Lucknow.

The crime team of Ghazipur and DCP North has unearthed a gang which used to get women to remove their jewelery on the pretext of tantramantra on the way. Four gang members have been arrested. The accused confessed that on July 24, Priya Singh, the review officer posted at the Indiranagar resident secretariat, had been molested. Priya was going home on foot after getting down from the metro. Jewelry, cash and bike have been recovered from the accused. The police produced all four in the court, from where they were sent to jail.According to ADCP North Abhijith R Shankar, the police team arrested four suspects on Friday morning from Sulabh toilet located near Polytechnic Square. The arrested accused are Anwar Ali, Salman, Afsar Ali and Farman Ali, residents of Thanda Nala village in Udham Singh Nagar, Uttarakhand. The accused confessed that they used to confuse the women walking on the road by telling them the fault in the house. Then he used to tell the way of diagnosis through Tantramantra and Totka. Used to say that walk straight 51 steps, don’t look back. Meanwhile, they used to abscond with the jewellery.
