There is a possibility of heavy rains on Tuesday in eight districts including the capital Doon in Uttarakhand. Yellow alert of heavy rain has been issued by the Meteorological Department for Dehradun, Tehri, Pauri, Nainital, Champawat, Bageshwar, Pithoragarh and Udham Singh Nagar districts.

Due to the forecast of heavy rains, the Dehradun district administration has declared a holiday on Tuesday in all government and private schools in the Municipal Corporation area of Dehradun, Jhajhra and Raipur development blocks.
