Brijesh Pathak Addresses Assembly : On the day the proceedings began, we wanted to facilitate discussions, but the Samajwadi Party seemed uninterested. We all know that this time, even the rainfall wasn’t as substantial as usual. Drought prevails in more than three dozen districts, and the districts in western Uttar Pradesh are grappling with flooding rivers, causing problems for farmers. Our government has made comprehensive arrangements to address both floods and droughts, and to provide relief to farmers. We aimed for each assembly member to bring forth the issues faced by farmers in their respective districts, but the SP appears to be evading that.
Our foremost priority has been to stand with the farmers of Uttar Pradesh. Ever since Yogi Ji’s government came into power in 2017, we’ve maintained control over crime. We’ve also taken significant actions against organized crime syndicates and prioritized delivering substantial penalties for crimes against women, with some cases leading to lifelong imprisonment within six months. Today, the government monitors all such cases vigilantly.
