Mithilesh Vishwakarma, also known as Mithai, a resident of Krithpur, has been arrested by the police for allegedly kidnapping and brutally murdering a three-year-old girl sleeping beside her mother. Before the murder, he had reportedly assaulted the child and kicked her. He had also attempted to sexually assault her after she lost consciousness. Following this, he fled the scene. In 2020, he had faced allegations of a similar crime and was even jailed.
On the day of the incident, July 5th, he was out on bail. However, after presenting him in court, the police have now sent him back to jail.
