Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi on his 79th birth anniversary on Sunday.
Rajiv Gandhi, the youngest Prime Minister of India, held this post from 1984-89. He was assassinated in 1991 by a suicide bomber of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE).
