Bareilly : In the district panchayat member by-election, the Samajwadi Party-supported candidate emerged victorious. Jaswinder Kaur, the wife of a Samajwadi Party leader, defeated BJP-backed Shilpi Chaudhary in Bareilly. Jaswinder Kaur secured 8611 votes for a resounding victory.
