Doctors from the Cardiology Department at AIIMS Rishikesh have successfully replaced the heart valve of a 58-year-old patient without open-heart surgery. The patient is now healthy and able to walk without assistance. The implanted valve is indigenous, and the heart’s capacity had reduced to only 20%.
