The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has released a report exonerating the late Oommen Chandy in the sexual exploitation case related to the 2013 solar scandal, hinting at a possible conspiracy behind the allegations

In its report, the CBI questions the authenticity of a letter written by the woman at the center of the charges. Additionally, it raises concerns about the role of a middleman who claims to have acted under “pressure from CPI(M) leaders,” as reported by the Indian Express.

Last week, a magistrate court in Thiruvananthapuram accepted the closure report filed by the CBI, which took over the probe in 2021.
