In a recent development, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted raids on the premises of celebrity managers in Mumbai and Delhi in connection with the Mahadev App case. During these operations, the ED seized a significant amount of cash totaling ₹2.5 crore.

According to ED sources, these celebrity managers are suspected of being involved in the hiring of celebrities to perform at a wedding event hosted by Mahadev App’s promoter, Saurabh Chandrakar, in Dubai in February 2023. It is alleged that they received hawala money on behalf of the celebrities. The investigation has uncovered that these managers accepted cash payments from the event management company and retained 10 percent of the amount as their commission. The remaining funds were then passed on to the celebrities. Additionally, it has been revealed that the event management company covered all expenses related to the celebrities’ participation, including accommodation and flights.

Saurabh Chandrakar, who is closely associated with D-Company, is currently an absconding accused in the Mahadev App money laundering case. During his extravagant Dubai wedding event, which reportedly cost around ₹200 crore in cash, numerous Bollywood celebrities made appearances and performed. These celebrities were allegedly paid in cash, with the payments being funneled through hawala channels to the event management company responsible for hiring them.
