
An Adalat (court) in the Jalpaiguri district of West Bengal has placed a leader from the youth wing of the Trinamool Congress (TMC) in police custody for two days. This action comes after he had surrendered in a case involving abetment to suicide of a couple six months ago. The President of the Jalpaiguri unit of the TMC’s Youth Wing, Saikat Chatterjee, was sent to police custody on Monday by the district and sessions court.
