Shahaabuddin, who was arrested about six months ago on charges of cattle smuggling in Hardoi, was recently released on bail. The Kasimpur police in Hardoi had taken action against him under the Gangster Act. The District Magistrate of Hardoi ordered the confiscation of his ill-gotten wealth acquired through criminal activities under the Gangster Act.
