Sonbhadra, once infamous as a stronghold of Naxals in the country, has now become the second most important district actively contributing to the development of Uttar Pradesh. Despite the abundance of natural and mineral resources, the district faced years of mismanagement and industrial hesitation due to the impact of Naxal activities.
